This other evil monkey scientist appears in the Disney short "Runaway Brain" (August 11, 1995), and in the French comic adaptation of this cartoon, "Mickey Perd la Tête" (the French title for the cartoon), from June 19, 1996, published in "Le Journal de Mickey" #2296.
He lives in a big house, at "1313, Lobotomy Lane", probably in Mouseton.
He wrote an announcement in the newspaper "EARN 999$99
FOR A MINDLESS DAYSWORK", and as Mickey needs this exact ammount of
money because he accidentally promised Minnie that he'd invite her to a
trip at Hawaii which costs 999$99 for the anniversary of their
first kiss...
But he didn't expect that the word "mindless" wasn't to take as figurative
sense : Dr Frankenollie wanted to exchange Mickey's Brain with the brain
of his creature : Julius, a giant creature à la "Frankenstein" who
looks much like Peg-Leg Pete (Moreover, he does have a "wooden" leg, or
rather a metallic leg...
He died from electocution during his experience.
He makes me think a lot about Professor Ecks, another
scientist monkey.
He also makes me think of the Sega's "Sonic the Hedgehog" games and
TV-series 's villain monkey-robot Coconut because of the bulb he has on
his head.
His name, "Frankenollie" is a game upon words. It is not only a reference
to Frankenstein, but it is also a tribute to FranckThomas
andOllie Johnston,
two of Disney's "Nine Old Men", who worked on the animation
of the Disney movies such as "Bambi", "Pinocchio", "Lady and the Tramp",
"The Jungle Book", and more, including animated shorts... They were so
famous and as they used to work together, a lot of people believed that
"Frankenollie" (= "Frank & Ollie" = "Frank and Ollie" = "Frank'n'Ollie"
) was the same one person.
